Use of Our Services
The ZACO online shop is designed to be intuitive: Products can be found via the search field, the main navigation, or the footer. Our products and services are organized into categories, allowing you to search by product or product category.
A shopping cart is available to complete purchases. The cart has three steps. Discount or voucher codes can be entered in the designated field starting from the second step. The third and final step provides a summary of all selected products and services, including individual and total prices.
The Terms & Conditions and further information are available at the bottom of the page at all times. After selecting "Buy now," you will be redirected to a thank-you page and receive an email confirmation at the email address you provided during checkout.
If you create an optional customer account, you can track orders and returns in your account area.
Accessibility Requirements

The applicable accessibility requirements for us are defined in the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and the corresponding regulation (BFSGV), derived from the European Accessibility Act (EAA). These laws and regulations reference the Harmonized European Standard EN 301 549, version 3.2.1, aligned with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, levels A and AA.
Compliance Level
Degree of fulfillment of the accessibility requirements
Our ZACO online shop is largely compliant with WCAG 2.2 guidelines (conformance level AA) and the technical requirements defined in the BFSG regulation. Below we summarize the key aspects for you, structured by the four accessibility criteria: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust.
A plugin is integrated that allows visitors of the online shop to make individual adjustments. This supports, in addition to the existing web design, the following:
Perceivable (Vision & Hearing)
- We use and support:
- A legible font with sufficient size and spacing.
- Adequate color contrast for all text and visual elements.
- Standard browser and operating system settings for zoom or text scaling.
- We provide alternatives for color and non-text content:
- Status messages such as "out of stock" are highlighted with color and also displayed in text.
- Images and graphics have meaningful alternative text..
- Important videos offer subtitles that can be turned on, paused, stopped, and adjusted in speed and volume
Operable (Keyboard & Motor Skills)
- Keyboard accessibility:
- All functions are accessible via keyboard.
- The focus order follows an intuitive structure.
- Active elements are clearly highlighted during keyboard navigation.
- Clickable & touch targets:
- Interactive elements are large enough and spaced appropriately.
- Navigation works in both portrait and landscape modes, on both desktop and mobile devices.
- Complexity and limitations:
- We avoid complex path movements such as drag-and-drop.
- We avoid time limits.
Understandable
- We use clear and logical structures, with short sentences and paragraphs.
- We aim for simple language where possible.
- Navigation (main and footer navigation) is consistently labeled.
- Our checkout process:
- Supports autofill for your data
- Provides detailed error messages for incorrectly filled fields.
Robust & Secure
Our website is implemented using semantically correct HTML. ARIA roles are used in some cases to support screen reader comprehension.
Payment forms are designed to be usable by all user groups and do not contain hidden CAPTCHA barriers through visual puzzles.
All accessibility functions (e.g., screen reader adjustments, zoom use) do not affect your privacy (no additional personal data is collected).
Non-Accessible Content
Our goal is to make the online shop and all content fully accessible. Currently, there are the following limitations:
- Some videos do not yet have subtitles.
- Some older PDF documents (e.g., user manuals) may not be fully readable by screen readers.
- A few images still lack descriptive alternative texts.
We are continuously working to address these limitations by the end of 2025.
Outlook
Quarterly internal accessibility checks will be conducted going forward. Since early 2025, accessibility considerations are already being included in the design of new website elements. We aim to enable barrier-free use of the ZACO online shop for everyone, regardless of individual abilities.
