    3.1 Automatic vacuuming

    Today, vacuum robots have a convincingly high suction power and can thus relieve you of the tedious work of vacuuming your home.

    They are suitable for hard floors as well as for carpets (short pile carpets) and rugs. Whether dust, crumbs or pet hair - everything ends up in the small round household helper.

    3.2 Navigation and sensors

    Robotic vacuum cleaners naturally have to find their way around your home and navigate in order to do their job well. To avoid getting lost or damaging your furniture while vacuuming, they have various instruments for navigation, among other things.

    Most vacuum cleaning robots can also be operated via a remote control. Here, additional settings can be made, even from the comfort of your sofa.

    It also depends on the type of floor in your home:

    The "best robot vacuum cleaner" is the one that best suits your needs and your home Therefore, you should pay attention to a few criteria when buying and ask yourself what you particularly value:

    4.1 Which is better: vacuum robot or vacuum and mop robot?

    This question can only be answered individually. If you are looking for a robot vacuum that only picks up dust and crumbs in everyday life, a conventional robot without wiping function will probably be enough for you.
    However, are you looking for a robot that can also pick up dirt like sticky stains or spilled liquids? Then we advise you to choose one of our vacuuming and mopping robots, because vacuuming robots with mopping function can do both - vacuuming and mopping. If you prefer to vacuum yourself, but are looking for help with mopping your floors, then a pure mopping robot might be right for you.

    4.2 Hard floors or carpet

    In principle, vacuum robots today can often vacuum both hard floors such as tiles, laminate, etc. as well as carpets (short pile carpet) without any problems.

    4.3 Pet hair from pets

    Pet hair is not a problem for many robot vacuum cleaners. However, some robots are more specialized in this type of pollution due to their design.

    4.4 HEPA filters help allergy sufferers

    Many vacuum robots therefore have HEPA filters. HEPA stands for High Efficient Particulate Air (filter), which means High Efficiency Particulate Filter (also known as a HEPA filter).

    HEPA filters guarantee the filtering of a certain minimum amount of suspended particles from the exhaust air and thus help to ensure that allergens are retained and not swirled around.

    The higher the HEPA class, the stronger the filtration:

    HEPA 13 filters, for example, are guaranteed to filter at least 99.95% of dust, aerosols, etc. from exhaust air.

    An additional stronger filter performance can result if several filters are connected in series. So it is best suited for allergy sufferers and you have your peace.

    4.5 Battery life or cleaning time

    Especially for larger apartments, it is not wrong to pay attention to a sufficiently large battery runtime or cleaning time.

    Many robot vacuums offer a runtime of around 120 minutes and more. Thus, it should have a sufficiently large capacity for many apartments.

    Especially practical: Many robots automatically return to their charging station as soon as the battery charge level drops below a certain value. This way, the vacuuming and mopping robot is always ready for use and you don't have to worry about charging the batteries.

    4.6 Good price-performance ratio

    Good vacuum robots don't have to be expensive and don't cost much more - if at all - than a good conventional vacuum cleaner. And an inexpensive robot vacuum cleaner relieves you of tedious household chores and you can enjoy your free time - a worthwhile investment.

    5. Maintenance of your robot vacuum and mop

    To ensure that your ZACO vacuuming and mopping robot vacuums and mops your floors thoroughly on a permanent basis, you should clean it regularly. This is not difficult and can be done quickly. After the robot has finished cleaning, simply

    • Remove main brush and side brush and clean with a clean cloth or cleaning brush
    • Remove the dust container and clean it with the cleaning brush
    • Remove filter and knock out collected suspended matter into a trash can
    • Remove mop from water tank, rinse under water and allow to dry
    • Remove water tank, pour out remaining water and allow tank to dry with rubber cap open
    • Carefully clean drop sensors and charging pins with a dry cloth to maintain their sensitivity
